Day Use at the House—A Place That Feels Like Home

The Ronald McDonald House Idaho: Boise offers a Day Use Program designed to provide families with hospitalized children a free, comfortable “home-away-from-home” during the day. This program is ideal for families who do not require overnight accommodations or who live within Ada County.

Day Use operating hours are daily from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., giving families access to welcoming shared spaces for dining, relaxation, and activities.

To participate, families must present a Day Use pass signed by their medical provider upon arrival.

  • Four well-equipped kitchen areas.
  • Complimentary meals and snacks made by our staff or volunteers.
  • Access to free laundry supplies.
  • Provided toiletries.
  • Postpartum supplies.
  • Playroom and game room for children of all age groups. 
  • Outdoor recreational area.
  • Barbecue facilities.
